Awesome live from Nogizaka46. Judging by their uniform this was around KidzuKata, their 7th single. They did the full version of the song rather than the short 3 minute versions. It's hard to find a live of the full version, so consider yourself lucky, and you can even catch a glimpse of Yada Risako who was a kenkyusei for a short time.

Fuck yeah! Pardon my Japanese. It's on! Once more. Here we go again!

You'll know where to find me that weekend: on my couch, logged into Showroom Live, Tweeting up a storm.

I'm gonna love this.

I thought I had found the motherlode. I was wrong.

This. THIS is the motherlode.

Forget summer. Forget anime. Forget television and movies. There is not enough time to get through all this. Or is there?

Get ready. Get set. Go!

Kutiman has made another mashup YouTube video. Like his others, this one is pretty awesome. It's amazing how this guy can mix things together. If you watch each individual YouTube video, you wouldn't know how to stitch it into another song. Kutiman does, and he works magic. I can't wait to hear the rest of these.

Though I have lost my religion I am thinking about celebrating the twelve days of Christmas and/or the Epiphany. I'm thinking about a twelve day blogathon starting on Christmas day and ending on the fifth of January, Twelfth Night. Then having some fun on the following day to celebrate, as the Irish call, Little Christmas.

We'll have fun. We'll have a blogathon. We'll write up a post a day about some movie or television show that relates to Christmas or has a holiday theme to it. I'm not sure what to focus on, but I want to write about how the holiday is found in the media. And perhaps a few things about how it affected me.

So join me, if at least for a day or a post, to celebrate the Twelve Days of Christmas Multimedia Blogathon.

End of summer? What better way to end it with the song of summer? You don't think this was it? Perhaps you can clue me in to the one that you thought was summertime 2011. Use the comments.

So cool. I wish I could see a shuttle launch. There are only a couple left. Then we're done with space flight.

Watching The Gunfighter on AMC. It's pretty tense. Jimmy Ringo, a notorious gunslinger rides into Cheyenne to woo his girl back. Everyone is gunning for him: the three brothers of the last idiot who went up against him, the local tough guy, the loafers at the bar, the kids hooking school. Everyone is except the girl he wants back. Soon, they'll all cross paths.

The movie is pretty well written as expressed by getting an Oscar nomination. Sometimes its witty banter. And other times its the tension building.

I'm actually enthralled.

Over the weekend I purchased the Fender Mustang I amp. It is a purely digital piece of music equipment in that it places all effects and amp modeling in one package. I can select many different amp models and modulate their sound very easily. It also comes with software that helps me upload and download other settings. Unfortunately, the POS software relies on Microsoft's Silverlight which really doesn't work.

Today's music break is showing you how to create your own FX from scratch. You just need some ingenuity.

Surfing around YouTube last night because I was really, really, really wanting to hear more K-ON!. As you know how it goes, you find a video, then follow the related videos and follow and follow and follow. Next thing you know a couple of hours have gone out the window. Wait, I was looking for K-ON! covers and now I'm listening to "Diamond Cravasse" sung by Ranka and Sheryl (Megumi & May'n) accompanied by the great Yoko Kano. How'd that happen when a few videos back there was that awesome May'n cover of "God Knows?" And that SCANDAL cover of "Don't Say You Are Lazy" with Shoko-tan? When are these going to be music breaks?

Don't worry all in due time.

Anyhow, this is a sweet performance of "Diamond Cravasse" from Macross Frontier. Perhaps the best song from that anime. It's usually sung by May'n but with the help of Ranka's voice actress, Megumi-chan, a duet of great sadness. Hit me up in comments to show your appreciation. Count this song as number 7.6 in the "You Should Be Watching Anime" list.

I saw nice preview of this on Kottke.org wherein the Dude walks into the little Lebowski shop in New York. Imagine the hilarity! So I went to program my DVR to record it but unfortunately the local PBS station on DirectTV seemed to not have it on at all. Luckily for us, it was on public television who always has it available on their website.

Go check it out. The Dude Abides.

Love this rendition. Poignant. Almost unrecognizable yet still Fuwa Fuwa Time. Her take on the chorus, the humming, reminds me of the final episode. Melancholy.

Aaargh! Kawaii overload! During episode 10 of K-ON!!, YuiAzu wasn't able to finish their duet. Now, we find it out on YouTube. And Azusa is singing. We never heard her sing any song. Gah! So Kawaii.

Let me look for this CD or torrent.

UPDATE: Replaced video because YouTube removed it.
